Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) was established in 1991 as an autonomous organization under "Nepal Agricultural Research Council Act - 1991" to conduct agricultural research in the country to uplift the economic level of the people.
The Communication Publication and Documentation Division (CPDD) of Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) originated an idea of NARC Knowledge Management System (NARC KMS) with an objective to develop/enhance the dissemination of agricultural research, publication, and information to its clientele and to larger audience who are directly or indirectly related to agricultural research and production. This is an effort to digitize all available publication, historical data and research materials that are published by NARC and its different offices, Nepal Agricultural Research Service Center (NARSC), Lumle Agricultural Center (LAC), Pakhribas Agricultural Center (PAC) and other related organization and institutions. In addition, NARC KMS aims to bring wider stakeholders related to agricultural research and development in one platform in order to intensify the constructive criticism and suggestions which will ultimately benefits the agricultural production in Nepal. This platform will also be channeled to gather/explore all the historical agriculture research publications by encouraging its potential users to share any information on agricultural sector.
